The RRRC Polar Bear Metric Century benefits the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, NC and Angels & Sparrows in Huntersville, NC along with several other local charities. 100% of the proceeds are donated.
The 25th Annual Polar Bear Metric Century will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Come out and make this New Year's tradition another success. Whether you consider this the North Meck Winter Nationals or just a chance to recommit to cycling for the new year, we'll be there to support you. You can always find someone to ride with, lots of support along the course, and hot soup and grilled cheese sandwiches at the finish.

Registration Fee: $35 per person with pre-registration (minors ride free with parent). ($40 starting January 9th) Link to PBMC registration form Door Prizes: First 150 people to enter will receive a RRRC Polar Bear custom gator. Additional door prizes will be given away including gift cards to BrickHouse Tavern and Davidson Therapeutic Massage. Flyer: polar_bear_metric__2025.pptx Location: 800 Beaty Street, Davidson, NC (All riders will begin and end at the Trane campus) Directions: From Charlotte take I-77 North to exit 30 make right on Griffith Street and go .4 mile and take left on Beaty St. go .6 mile and take left into Trane Technologies. Start Time: Registration starts at 8:30 AM Rides Starts at 10:00 AM Route Maps: 50k Route 100k Route Support: SAG vehicles will cruise the course to support all riders and transport weary riders back to the starting point. On-Site support provided by The Cycle Path. Rest Stops: Rest Stops will be provided to rest and refuel. Food and fluids will be provided. Safety: ANSI or SNELL approved helmets are required for all riders. Hotels: The following hotels are in close proximity of the ride. |
